To help you plan your time at the Convention, the following is some information we thought would be useful for you to know before you arrive on site.
Mission Personnel Reception
One afternoon, each week of the Convention, a reception is held for those attending the Convention who are involved in mission work, at home or overseas. It is an opportunity to come aside during, what can be, a busy week and have time to share, pray and have fellowship with others who also work on the mission field.
A place to share honestly about the trials and joys in a room of people who understand the ebbs and flows, highs and lows all too well.
Refreshments and nibbles are provided and one of the Convention speakers will give a short talk that will hopefully give you some encouragement.
If you would like to attend, Convention Reception will have a sign-up sheet for the reception. This will help with numbers for catering for refreshments.
Child Care Provision
If you are attending the Convention as a family and would like to attend the Mission Personnel Reception, members of the Kids & Youth teams will be arranging activities for children 3 years old and over, during the afternoon. They will make this a really good afternoon for your children and may want to take them to the lake or for a game of crazy golf. Therefore you will need to complete a child registration form and sign to give your permission for them to be take off site. You can do this by going to Convention Reception where they will have the appropriate form for you to complete.
Families of Mission Personnel Reception
We understand that attending the Convention is an opportunity to enjoy time with wider family members and we are aware that a number of missionaries come to the Convention with parents, grandparents, siblings etc.
This Families of Mission Personnel Reception is for family members of mission partners to provide an opportunity to chat and connect with others who have loved ones serving God around the world. This is a great opportunity for those whose children, grandchildren, brothers or sisters are living and working overseas to get together and share fellowship, experiences and ideas. There will be some input on how family members can support their loved ones well, but also how they can be supported themselves.
If you have family members joining you at the Convention, this may be something that they will find beneficial.
The reception is held one afternoon each week of the Convention and registration for this is at Convention Reception.
Early Kids & Youth Registration
The Convention programme is free and open to all, but we do ask that children and youth between 3-18 years old register for their groups.
Spaces are limited and parents are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible after registration opens in May 2025.
For those in receipt of the Hospitality Grant with families, we will contact you a few days before Kids and Youth registration opens. We will send a link so you can register your children before the main registration is available to everyone else.
You’ll find more information about the Kids & Youth programme and registration on our website – https://keswickministries.org/kids-youth-families/
Newcomers Welcome
If you are at the Convention for the first time, or here on your own, there will be a Welcome Reception each Sunday afternoon.
This is a helpful introduction to the Convention, where you’ll be given information about the Convention and how to find your way around.
