We are now in our fourth year of being on the Derwent Site with the Pencil Factory. If this is your first time a Convention this will hopefully give you an idea of what to expect. If this is 50th time, read on as there may be some changes for 2024.

All Convention programme items take place on the Derwent Site (Pencil Factory, Carding Mill Lane, Keswick  CA12 5NG)

Coming from Main Street and passed the Rawnsley Building you will head towards the Security point and be directed to site where you can find:

  • The Main tent
  • The Pencil Factory
  • Convention Reception
  • Base Camp
  • Creche
  • KU venue (week 3), 
  • First aid van
  • The Village Space 

The Main Tent is where the Morning Bible Readings, Evening Celebrations, one seminar tract, the Keswick Lecture and evening concerts take place. 

The Pencil Factory is the home to the Kids and Youth, 19-24s, Count Everyone In (week 1), Seminars and the Volunteer Team Space and toilet block. 

Base Camp is the home of Base Camp which is the hub for the café, 10ofThose bookshop and the Mission Exhibition. There is also a relay screen.

Base Camp Theatre is used for a seminar space and cafe overflow. It is also the home for Keswick Unconventional in week 3. 

Creche is found in the top right of the map. This creche is for children under 3, with parental supervision. 

Village Space is an area we are developing on site where you can get tasty crepes, grab a snack, or eat your picnic under more covered seating. The Village Tent will be a relay venue during the Morning Bible Reading and Evening Celebration. 

Team Spaces are places for all volunteers to take a quick break, grab a cup of coffee and a biscuit, and meet other volunteer groups. There are two spaces, one in the Pencil Factory and one in the Admin Block.

The Pencil Factory Team Space will be open:
08.00 – 10.30
13.00 – 18.30
21.15 – 22.00

 

The Admin Block Team Space will be open all day.
